a poem by Reeya Fariha

this autumn i only think of spring

i've been stuck in autumn so so long.

i gaze out to see the leaves turn shades of

mellow yet vibrant yellows,

soon they'll turn into fiery and passionate reds and oranges.

what about me then?

when will i mellow out?

when will i feel passionate again?

my leaves turn from monotonous greys to melancholic blues.

as i desperately wait for them to fall

and when spring arrives they'll grow again;

they'll grow and gleam glorious shades of green.
